League Meeting held 29th June

The main areas of discussion in a lively meeting were as follows: Pitch Markings Umpires Rule Changes and clubs dropping out of the Loros Cup and points deductions

The main discussion points revolved around :



The meeting was informed that Leicester Caribbeans were deducted points for not registering a player . Their opponents in the two games would now get maximum points.



The pitch markings from umpires were handed out up to the 20th June, there were no real issues with pitches with no club getting " d" s .

There had been one application from a club to join the league , and apossible restructering of the league would be discussed at the September meeting.

Two teams had dropped out of apoorly supported Loros Cup , this aroused a great deal of discussion and this would be further discussed at a league management committee meeting on the way forward.

There had been a couple of issues with umpires and it was thought the league could look at funding training for the umpires, to try and eliminate these issues.

The issue of rule changes was raised and it was felt that clubs should start looking at these now, rather than at the last minute , to enable proper discussion on them.

The league presentation evening is on Saturday 3rd October at Cosby Village Hall, the guest speaker is still to be confirmed.
